Road Safety Campaign

All the students of the school, including the Year 3 classes had a one hour talk about road safety.  A public bus picked up the students from the school.  We were then taken to Ġnejna Bay.  The driver told the students what rules pedestrians should obey while crossing the road, driving a bicycle etc…   Bus drivers’ rules were also explained.  Among other things, the driver also explained to the pupils that some seats are reserved for the elderly and people with disabilities, what happens when they press the buzzer to stop, which door is for the exit, what happens in case a fire ensues etc…

Students were very interested and asked a lot of interesting questions.  Students and teachers alike learned more about our public transport.  If more people obeyed the established rules, there would be less chaos on the roads.

Promoting the use of Public Transport to save the environment

The Year  1 and Year 2 students have participated in an awareness campaign to enhance the use of public transport. The aim of this event is to encourage more people to make use of the “Tal-Linja” card and public transport to reduce traffic on the roads and thus reducing the impact of car exhaust on the envrionment. The students were offered to receive the Tal-Linja card for free.
