The kindergarten students of Ms Janice, have been learning about the five senses. During one of the session, the students were blind folded. Students had to guess what was being given to them by making use of the sense of touch, taste or smell.
The Kinder 1 students of Ms Joanne, have been exploring the five senses. To help in the students learn more about sight, the students were asked to wear glasses with different coloured lenses. This made them aware of how our eye sight works.
To explore the sense of touch, students listened to a story animated by a student KGA and then made a craft using different textured materials.
The yr 6.2 students of Ms Raisa have launched the first special assembly for this scholastic year. As planned in the school development plan, every class is to present a science experiment during special assemblies.
The students prepared 2 experiments, one to make children aware that we are surrounded by air, and the other to demonstrate how the primary colours mix together to form new colours e.g. red and yellow make orange.
Well done to all 🙂
On the 16th October 2015, the year 6 students had the opportunity to learn more about the Great Siege of Malta. They visited the Armoury and the Throne room in the Grandmaster’s palace in Valletta. The Armoury houses one of the finest collection of weapons of the period of the knights of Malta. Spears, swords, shields, heavy armour and other weapons are on display. Later, children took part in a parade where some of them took the role of Knights and some pretended to be the Turkish soldiers.
This event was organised by the Education Department in collaboration with Heritage Malta.

Once again our school has embarked on Dinja Waħda. This year the school is aiming for another Gold Award and for the Blue Flag, which is awarded to schools who manage to achieve Gold Award consecutively over 3 years.
The project is coordinated by Ms Rodgers, assistant head. In these photos we see the students preparing a display for this year’s Dinja Waħda notice board.
The students of Ms Joanne Galea of K1.1 have been exploring about symmetry while having fun with paint. Exposing students to these experiences from a very early age, helps them to develop a keen interest in their surroundings and also makes them question why things are the way they are, enhancing their reasoning skills.
As an introduction to the English writing lesson: “How to write good instructions”, the Yr 5.2 students were asked to prepare their own delicious sandwiches.
Following this activity and after a brief explanation by the teacher, students did an interactive whiteboard activity where they were asked to arrange the muddled instructions on how to wrap a present in the correct order.
By the end of the lesson students were able to write the instructions on how to make a delicious sandwich, using bossy verbs and time connectives.
This made learning more fun 🙂

The K1.1 students of Ms Joanne Galea have been busy learning about the topic “Myself”. To complement this topic the students painted an outline drawing of a girl or a boy using pink and blue paint. Apart from enhancing their fine motor skills, the students had the opportunity to learn about themselves and about colours.
Finally the students cleaned their tables to enhance their own sense of personal care and that of taking care of others’ belongings 🙂
