Growing Sunflowers…

The K2.3 students of Ms Lucienne Vella were very happy to see their sunflower seeds blooming and flowering after taking care of the seeds over the past weeks.

Construction underway…

Students in Kinder 2 enjoyed creating their own constructions using wooden blocks. Students came up with their own creations while discussing and observing different ways of constructing “buildings”. Submitted by Ms Lucienne Vella

The Kinder 2 of Ms Lucienne Vella visited Vincent Eco Park This was a great opportunity to learn about chickens while enjoying the outdoors.

Water Play

It’s that time of the year when the heat become unbearable. So water play serves the purpose to held children cool down, while enjoying some time together making up their own games. Submitted by Ms Nagaat Bugeja, K1.3

Capacity

The Year 2.2 students of Ms Stephanie Azzopardi enjoyed a maths lesson outdoors about capacity. They estimated how many cups of water would be needed to fill in different sized containers and then actually counted the number of cups needed.

A Day at Buskett Gardens

After lunch the children were asked to make friend s with a tree by hugging it. They observed how high or low trees are and monitored what`s under the tree i.e. exposed roots, fallen leaves, grass, twigs, stones, pine cones, insects (worms, ants and spiders). Today children learnt about flowers and plants. They talked about the parts of the plant – mainly the roots, the stem, leaves and fruit and they learnt about their purpose.
