Working with the Elderly at Mgarr
Wasteserv invited our school to participate in an environmental awareness event held at the Mgarr Day Centre.
The year 6 together students, accompanied by Ms Rodgers, Assistant Head, visited this Day Centre.
Students mingled with the old folk and asking them about reducing, reusing and recycling in the old days. The students enjoyed chatting with the elderly while learning more about their elderly. The elderly were very pleased to be visited by our young students and willingly shared information.
WasteServ and Batterina…
On 10th April 2014 Batterina, the WasteServ mascot visited our school. The aim was to make our students aware of the harm done to the environment when batteries are not disposed of in battery bins.
Representatives from WasteServ visited the year 4, 5 and 6 classes and presented workshops and information to our students about the importance of Reducing, Reusing and Recycling. This event was organised in liaison with the Mgarr Local Council and WasteServ.
Let’s work together for a cleaner and healthier environment 🙂
