The Yr 3.2 students of Ms Miranda had a very interesting lesson about flat shapes. First, students had a presentation where they had to try and guess the name of the flat shape that was partially hidden. Then students discussed the properties of the various shapes. Finally they had group work which involved creating their own flat shapes using lollipop sticks, a “domino” game where students had to solve clues before moving on to the next question, sorting shapes according to their category, and drawing a picture using flat shapes only to create a car, house and robot.
