School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme

The school is participating in the local initiative of providing a fruit or vegetable portion on a daily basis to students, better known as Skema ta’ Frott u Ħxejjex. The year 2 students had a hands-on session during which they planted basil and parsley in pots. Students had the opportunity to learn about the importance of such herbs in daily diets to provide the body with minerals needed for a healthier lifestyle.

Little Gardeners at work…

The Year 1.2 students of Ms Marilyn Bugeja, together with the help of their LSA Ms Josphine Galea, have been busy sowing tomatoes in the school garden. Spring is the time when nature is in full bloom.
