An athlete in the making…

The school would like to congratulate Jake Bonnici for placing 3rd in the 600m race held in Viterbo, Italy. Jake was one of the finalists who participated in Malta’s national athletics events held for Yr 4 students by the Sports Promotion Unit. The finalists had the opportunity to go abroad and participate in an international event competing against 5 countries.

Well done Jake for this achievement 🙂

Kangaroo Relay

During one of our PE lessons, the students played a game called Kangaroo Relay. It is called this because the children have to hold a ball under each arm and another one between their knees. Then, they have to hop like a kangaroo to the next child in line, who takes all three balls and repeats the process. This relay is completed once all members of the team have had a turn.

Let the fun begin…

Beebot

Above one can see the K1.1 students of Ms Joanne having fun with technology… Our little robot, Bee-Bot is out for a ride with the students. Bee-bot helps students to learn directions and counting, among many other things. Below students are having a whale of time in the newly furbished playing area. Special thanks to FTS (Foundation for Tomorrow’s Schools) and to Ms Borg Vella, assistant head, who was instrumental in making this project another dream come true 🙂PE
