Marathon Walk at Buskett Gardens

Beating all odds today the Year 3, 4, 5, and 6 students walked along the Dingli cliffs to Buskett Gardens.  Beating strong winds, the students gave their utmost to reach their destination.

Although the weather was very challenging, the students and members of staff still managed the make the best of the day.Seeing happy faces on students was the most rewarding experience. Once at Buskett Gardens students finished their fieldwork which was prepared by their class teachers.

They also enjoyed their lunches surrounded by nature in a one of the few woodlands of our island.

The younger students from K2 to Year 2 walked along the woodlands and had hands on activities related to Dinja Waħda projects and science.

The older students had some time for orienteering and also enjoyed venturing around the woods and having a go at tree climbing.

Well done to all… Special thanks to the peripatetic teachers, Ms Rebecca Bonello, Ms Pauline Gingell, Ms Speranza Spiteri and the complementary teacher,  Ms Cora Calleja, for coming forward 🙂

Even the youngest students in kindergarten contributed to the promotion of Earth Day by displaying their message on one of the school’s noticeboards. This activity was organised by Ms Joanne Galea, Ms Josianne Camilleri and Ms Nagaat Bugeja (Kindergarten Educators).

Around 70 students, together with their teachers and Ms Rodgers, walked along the streets of Mgarr to share their message to locals and tourists alike. The awareness campaign ended in front of the Parish Church of Mgarr.
