Student Council Elections…

Election01

Almost all nominees have presented their manifesto at school assemblies.  The election will take place next Tuesday where in the pupils will be voting for their fellow students who they would like to represent them in the school council.  Student council election reinforces the democratic voting process that the children will see when they grow up and nominees were given the chance to state reasons why they should be voted for.

Pyjama and Cereal Day

Pyjama

The School Council organised a Pyjama and Cereal Day for the students at our school. The main aim was to remember all those children who are sick in hospital undergoing treatment. Moreover, this was an opportunity to promote choosing a healthy breakfast by opting for healthy cereals and white milk.

The school would like to thank all the parent helpers who made this yet another successful event 🙂

St. Nicholas Day

St Nicholas DayThe college celebrated the feast of St Nicholas on 4th December, this being the patron saint of the college. Every primary school sent year 3 students to this event which was hosted at our school. The middle and senior school also sent student representatives to celebrate this special day.

Mass was celebrated at the Mgarr Parish church, followed by a procession with the statue of St. Nicholas. The year 6 students of Mgarr Primary sang the college hymn followed by a short play “Scruuug” adapted and directed by Mr John Sultana.

The students were later entertained by Quivan, a year 3 student from Rabat Primary and by Jessica, who is a teacher at Rabat Middle School, and also singer by profession.

All students were given a goodie bag by Father Christmas himself.
