On Friday 24 March, the two year 4 classes visited the Robotics Olympiad held at Ta’ Qali MFCC.
This outing inspired students to learn programming into an insightful and creative way. Students had the opportunity to bring abstract computer science concepts to life, they also had the opportunity to learn how to program robots (using LEGO) by using a programming language. This engaged the students in the learning process and enabled them to see their programme coming to life through Robots. This activity also served students to learn problem solving skills. Students had also the opportunity to make different coding activities.
Students enjoyed this hands-on learning actitivty.

L-għan tal-lezzjoni tar-Reliġjon kien li t-tfal jirrealizzaw li kulħadd huwa magħmul differenti minn xulxin iżda kulħadd għandu l-kwalitajiet sbieħ tiegħu. Matul din il-lezzjoni it-tfal semgħu kanzunetta dwar is-suġġett li konna qed nitkellmu dwaru u kellhom ħin sabiex jiddiskutu xi punti. Wara intuża t-tablet biex it-tfal jieħdu stessu (ritratt tagħhom infushom) u wara li jagħrfu l-kwalitajiet tagħhom jiktbuhom taħt ir-ritratt. Fl-aħħar kulħadd qasam il-kwalitajiet tiegħu ma’ l-oħrajn.
Xogħol ta’ Ms Mathea Vassallo, Yr 4.2
A meeting was held for parents of students in Year 4 regarding the use of tablets. The session was delivered by our eLearning Support Teacher, Ms Laura Schembri. The aim of this session was to inform parents about how tablets are used as a tool to enhance teaching and learning. It also provided parents with an opportunity to bring forward any queries or difficulties that their children may have encountered.
Since from this scholastic year tablets have been introduced in the daily teaching process, the year 4.2 class of Ms Mathea Vassallo used the tablet to work out Mental Maths questions and Religion questions in a form of a quiz. This also served as a revision session for the upcoming exams. Children enjoyed it very much!
