Celebration Day 2014

Concert01

On 18th December 2014 the school organised “Celebration Day” for the students. The aim of such an event is to acknowledge and celebrate the different abilities and talents of our students. All students learn in different ways. Some excel in one subject and some excel in others. Diversity is what helps our students learn from each other, and during such an event the school aims to celebrate this diversity.

The students were given time to roll out the dough and decorate their biscuits. This cookery lesson served to teach the students a number of fine motor skills and food handling techniques.

St Nicholas Day 2014

St Nicholas is the patron saint protector of our College. The feast of St Nicholas falls on 6th December. Since this year the 6th happened to be a Saturday, the college organised a special event for students from the various schools of our college on 5th December 2014.

San Nikola

The celebrations began with a the celebration of Holy Mass at Mgarr Parish Church. A short procession with the statue of St Nicholas followed. Out year 3 students who assisted the priest during mass has the opportunity to carry this statue.

A short programme followed at our school. Our year 6 students sang the college hymn. A surprise for the students followed… The Ekklesia Sisters visited the school and sang a number of Christmas carols to the enthused audience.

Finally Santa Claus himself distributed a goodie bag to all the students present for this event.
