The Kinder 2 students of Ms Janice and Ms Marija, together with the student KGA, Ms Fiona and their LSA, Ms Marika, have been busy preparing Figolli (a traditional Easter sweet). The children enjoyed cutting the pastry and decorating it with chocolate. Well done little chefs 🙂

Puppet shows and cookery…
The Kinder 2.1 students of Ms Janice, together with their LSA Ms Marika, were entertained by the use of puppets. Through the use of puppets the students feel more comfortable to interact while learning.
On a separate occassion the students cooked some healthy cupcakes using raisins among other healthy ingredients.

Healthy Eating Session for Kindergarten Students
A teacher from the Home Economics centre visit all Kinder 2 classes to emphasize, from an early age, the importance of fruits and vegetables in our diet and how they can help us lead a better life. The students were actively involved in these sessions and our teachers gave good feedback on their outcome.
Oats, Bananas and Honey Cookies…
The Kindergarten student of Ms Joanne prepared a very healthy snack made of oats, mashed bananas and honey. These cookies were baked in the oven for a couple of minutes. Apart from preparing a healthy, yet delicious, snack, the students had the opportunity to learn about textures, healthy food and to enhance their fine motor skills.
Fun with aeroplanes…
The Kindergarten students of Ms Joanne have been busy learning about colours by making their own planes using various techniques. Kite paper was glued to the outline of the body of the aeroplane. Hand prints were used to make the wings. Through such activities students enhance their fine motor skills, while learning through play.
Using our streets wisely…
The Kinder 1 students of Ms Joanne, together with Ms Angela, have been learning about road safety. The students made their own traffic lights and learnt about the meaning of the different colours.
The children were asked to walk on a zebra crossing when the right light came on. Children were reinforces topic of colour and road safety during this activity.
