Summer hits the Maltese Islands with a bang. However this allows time for kindergarten students to enjoy water games. The look on the happy faces of these children says it all 🙂

Promoting a healthy lifestyle
The Kindergarten students of Ms Camille, together with their LSA, Ms Roseann, prepared a healthy pasta salad. They also thought of other children who are hospitalised by participating in the Dr. Klown awareness campaign.
Charge your body with a healthy breakfast
Starting the day with a healthy breakfast is a must. What you have for breakfast will act as fuel for the body. Breakfast should not be skipped. Eating healthy snacks frequently during the day helps to boost your energy levels. The rest must be accompanied by drinking plenty of water and exercise.
The K2.1 students of Ms Janice Vella prepared a breakfast at school. The aim was to teach these students the importance of starting the day with a healthy breakfast, while learning about texture, colour and enhancing fine motor skills 🙂

The Kindergarten students of Ms Josianne Camilleri have been learning about Food and Drink. To enhance their fine motor skills, students had a spaghetti painting sessions.

Starting the morning on a positive note with our young students in Kindergarten. A very good warm up to kick off the day full of fun packed activities.
Dinja Waħda… F-ant-astic…
The Kindergarten students of Ms Felicia Borg embarked on their Dinja Waħda project… f-ANT-astic. Through this activity students learn about the different types of ants that live in the same “household” including the queen ant, the worker ants (who collect food for their nest) and the soldier ants, who are bigger in size than the workers and who do their utmost to protect their nest.
The students went to have a close look at ants that live in the school garden.
Crowning of Our Lady
Today we celebrated the feast of Our Lady of Pompei. Since May is the month dedicated to Our Lady, a procession was organised along the school corridors. Students brought flowers which were laid in front of Our Lady. The kindergarten students prepared various crafts related to the celebration. Being the month dedicated to all mothers, the school would like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers.
Fieldwork at Buskett
The Kindergarten students went to Buskett for fieldwork related to Dinja Waħda activities. During their stay in this woods, the students participated in various projects.
Students were asked to collect as many conifers as possible. The conifers were later sorted according to size being small, medium or large. 
These conifers were used to create basic shapes including the circle, triangle, rectangle and square. Students were also asked to collect twigs. All conifers and twigs were used to make a tree collage.
Another activity consisted of bark rubbing while learning about smooth and rough surfaces. Finally students made a collage of the words Dinja Waħda using the twigs collected earlier on.
