The Kindergarten students had a very positive experience at the Fire Station. The students met the fire fighters who, on a daily basis, help out the locals in moments of distress. Apart from getting to know what the job of a fire fighter entails, the students had the opportunity to ride on the fire truck, see the fire fighters using a water hose and Ms Janice, one of our KGs, had the guts to climb onto the fire truck’s extended ladder. All members of staff had words of praise for the way the fire fighters explained things to our young students. The school take this opportunity to thank the fire fighters for their work and for their hospitality!

Growing a Vegetable Garden
The Kinder 1.1 students of Ms Joanne Galea, embarked on a very interesting project to promote healthy eating, while learning about growing of crops. These little gardeners have started a vegetable garden on the school premises. The students sowed potatoes, carrots and peas.
The students shall be watering the seeds and roots while keeping a close eye on their project to ensure that their crops grow. Not only did the students have to plant the seeds/roots, but they will also be learning what it entails to harvest crops and the care that needs to be taken with crops.
We look forward to have a vegetable soup made from crops grown in the school garden 🙂
