Coding with Bee-Bot
The Yr 5.2 students of Ms Melanie, together with their LSA, Ms Josette, were learning about occupations. During the lesson students were divided in 2 groups and had to programme Bee-Bot to reach the correct destination after being presented with a situation. The students had to first write the code that was to be instructed for Bee-Bot to reach his goal. Then, after inputting the code, they had to make sure that the destination, based on their calculations, was reached.

Adding 10 to a 1 or 2 digit number
The yr 3.1 students of Ms Sharon working out sums on their mini whiteboards. During this lesson students talked about adding 10 to a 1 digit and 2 digit number. The teacher made use of an interactive grid on the Interactive Whiteboard and chose a number at random. The children wrote the number down on the mini whiteboard and then added 10.

Let the fun begin…
Above one can see the K1.1 students of Ms Joanne having fun with technology… Our little robot, Bee-Bot is out for a ride with the students. Bee-bot helps students to learn directions and counting, among many other things. Below students are having a whale of time in the newly furbished playing area. Special thanks to FTS (Foundation for Tomorrow’s Schools) and to Ms Borg Vella, assistant head, who was instrumental in making this project another dream come true 🙂
